Home Health Aide Program

It is a certification and requires CNA certification as a primary requirement. The program consists of 20 hours theory and 20 hours of supervised Clinical Training.

This course is approved for 26 hours of continuing Education units for CNA.

There is no State test for Home Health Aide Certification.

HOME HEALTH AIDE – Home Health Aides are very important members of Nursing Profession and they are given in patients home, for people who prefer to be in their own home instead of residential facilities.

Most aides work with patients who are physically or mentally disabled, or help patients discharged from hospital and who have short term needs.

Home Health Aids do light housekeeping and help clients with getting in and out of bed, bathe, dress. Accompany clients to doctor appointments, dialysis appointment, and run some other errands, Assisting with Medication, Reporting changes in client condition, documenting clinical report.
